How does WAExtension protect user privacy?
WAExtension stores CRM records locally in your browser and on encrypted cloud workspaces, does not harvest chat transcripts, never sells user data, and supports complete data export and deletion.
WAExtension is an independent software product and is not affiliated with, operated by, sponsored by, or endorsed by WhatsApp or Meta Platforms, Inc., unless otherwise stated. WhatsApp is a trademark of Meta Platforms, Inc. All third-party names and logos referenced on this site belong to their respective owners and are used for identification purposes only.
What we collect
Account data: name, email and workspace membership when you create an account. CRM content: contacts, leads, stages, tags, notes and follow-up metadata you choose to create inside WAExtension. Technical data: anonymised product telemetry (feature usage counts, crash reports) and standard server logs. We do not sell any of it, ever.
WhatsApp messages
WAExtension operates on the WhatsApp Web interface in your browser. Core CRM features store the structured records you create (who a contact is, what stage a lead reached, your notes) — not transcripts of your conversations. Where an optional feature processes message content (for example AI-assisted drafting), processing occurs only when you invoke it, under the terms disclosed at that point.
Cookies & local storage
This website uses minimal cookies for analytics consent (cookie policy). The extension stores working data in browser local storage on your machine; paid workspaces sync encrypted records to our hosting.
How long we keep things
CRM records persist until you delete them; deleting your account purges associated data within 30 days except where law compels retention. Backups roll off within 35 days.
Sharing
We share data only with processors bound by contract (hosting, email delivery, payment processing) and never for advertising. Law-enforcement requests are honoured only when legally compelled, and we notify affected customers where permitted.
Your rights
Access, rectification, erasure, portability (one-click CSV/JSON export), objection and restriction. Email privacy@waextension.com; we respond within 30 days. You may also complain to your local supervisory authority.
International transfers
Data processed outside your region relies on standard contractual clauses and encryption in transit and at rest.
